Belgard Pavers, Installed Across Brevard County

Atlantic Dreamscapes is a Belgard Authorized Contractor building complete outdoor living spaces across Melbourne, Merritt Island, Cocoa, and the rest of Brevard County. Belgard is the primary paver brand we install, and most of our projects feature it: driveways, patios, and pool decks, and just as often the full build around them, with Castle Manor seating walls, coping, fire features, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, lighting, and turf tied into one design. We’ve been building in Brevard County since 2017, long enough to know how this climate treats every hard surface in a Florida yard. Call 321-704-3943 to talk through your project, or keep reading for a straight answer on what Belgard offers, what drives the cost, and where it earns its keep.

Why We Install Belgard Pavers

You can buy a cheaper paver. You can’t buy a cheaper paver that we’d want our name on ten years from now.

Belgard is manufactured by Oldcastle APG, a CRH company with production facilities across North America, and the company backs its products with a limited lifetime transferable warranty. That warranty covers the paver itself. What it can’t cover is the installation, which is why the crew matters as much as the brand. As a Brevard County paver company, we picked Belgard because the product holds up to the three things that punish hardscapes here: salt air, hard UV, and summer downpours that dump inches of rain in an afternoon.

There’s a fourth reason, and it’s the one we explain most often on site visits. Poured concrete cracks in this climate. It’s not a maybe. Pavers flex with the ground instead of fighting it, and when a sprinkler line or a tree root does cause a problem, we lift and relay the affected units instead of demoing a slab. Repair by the piece, not by the truckload.

That’s the honest case for Belgard pavers in Melbourne. It’s also the standard Belgard holds its Authorized Contractors to, and we’re one of them.

The Belgard Lines We Install Most

Belgard’s catalog is deep. These are the lines our crews actually put down week after week on Brevard County projects, grouped by what they’re for.

On the ground: driveways, patios, and pool decks.

  • Catalina Grana. A textured, stone-look paver that’s become our go-to for pool decks and patios. Real grip underfoot, reads like natural stone without natural stone’s upkeep.
  • Appian Stone. Old-world cobble character in a multi-size format. Driveways and walkways that suit established Melbourne and Viera neighborhoods.
  • Holland Stone. The classic brick-format workhorse. Simple, durable, budget-friendly, and it never looks dated.
  • Dimensions 18. Large-format and modern. Fewer joint lines, calm surfaces, the current look for patios and pool surrounds.

Going vertical: walls and features.

  • Easton Stone. A garden wall with a tumbled, timeworn face, for planter borders and low accent walls that want warmth instead of polish.
  • Weston Stone. Our standard for freestanding and garden walls, columns, and outdoor kitchen bases.
  • Castle Manor. The wall system behind most of our retaining and seating walls. It’s what turns a patio into a room.

That list is where our volume is, not where it ends. As a Belgard Authorized Contractor we can source and install any Belgard product line: pavers, retaining walls, coping, steps, fire pits, outdoor kitchen components, and permeable systems for low-lying lots where drainage decides between a patio and a puddle. If Belgard makes it, we can build with it.

Not sure which line fits your project? That’s what the design visit is for.

Belgard Paver Colors

Belgard paver colors run from warm sand and tan blends through grays, charcoals, and multi-tone mixes. On our Brevard County projects, five come up again and again: Napoli, Rio, Scandina Gray, Titanium, and Slate. All five lean into the clean, modern palettes homeowners are choosing right now, cooler grays and layered neutrals instead of the orange-heavy blends of a decade ago.

Still, picking a color from a screen is a mistake, and we’ll talk you out of it.

Here’s why. Florida sun is a floodlight. A color that looks rich on a website in February looks two shades lighter on your driveway in July. Light blends bounce heat (a real consideration for barefoot pool decks) but show tire marks and mildew sooner. Dark charcoals hide stains and frame a modern house beautifully, then run hot by mid-afternoon in Satellite Beach sun.

Our rule of thumb: pull your paver color from your roof and trim, not your landscaping. Plants change with the seasons. Your roof doesn’t.

The only reliable way to choose is physical samples on your actual site, viewed at midday and again in the evening, against your stucco. We bring sample boards along for exactly this reason. Ten minutes with real pavers in real light beats an hour of scrolling, every time.

What Belgard Pavers Cost

We’re not going to publish a per-square-foot number, because any number that ignores your site is a guess dressed up as an answer. What we can do is tell you exactly what moves the price, because it’s the same short list on nearly every Brevard County project:

  • Square footage. Bigger areas cost more in total but usually less per foot, since mobilization and setup get spread out.
  • Collection and format. A standard cobble and a premium slate-textured slab sit at different points in Belgard’s range.
  • What’s there now. Demolition and haul-off of an existing slab or old pavers adds real labor before the first new paver goes down.
  • Base prep. Sandy Florida soil needs proper excavation and compacted base. This is the least visible line item and the one that decides whether your project lasts.
  • Access. A fenced backyard that equipment can’t reach means material moves by wheelbarrow.
  • Borders and patterns. Soldier courses, contrasting borders, and herringbone layouts take more cuts and more time.

After we’ve walked the site and measured, you get a written quote with the collection, the scope, and the price. No ranges, no “starting at.”

Where Belgard Works Hardest

Every flat surface on your property has a Belgard product made for it. These are the four places we install it most.

Driveways

A paver driveway carries thousands of pounds daily, so product rating and installation discipline both matter here. We use driveway-rated units over a properly compacted base with solid edge restraint, because a driveway without restraint spreads at the margins within a few years. If your existing concrete drive is cracked or settling, our driveway paver installation page covers the full replacement process.

Patios

This is where a Belgard paver patio does its best work: an outdoor living space you’ll actually use ten months a year. Large-format slabs, tumbled cobbles, a built-in fire pit border. We build patio pavers in Melbourne and across Brevard County, and the patio is usually where homeowners let the design stretch a little.

Pool Decks

Florida pool decks have two non-negotiables: surface temperature and slip resistance. Texture and color choice drive both, which is why the slate-textured collections show up here so often. We handle coping, deck, and drainage as one system through our pool deck paver installation service. It’s also where paver lights and landscape lighting earn their spot: fixtures set flush into the deck so the pool area works after sunset too.

Walkways

Shorter runs, same standards. Our paver walkways connect driveway to door and patio to pool over the same excavation and base depth the big surfaces get. A 40-foot walkway built wrong fails just as fast as a 400-foot driveway built wrong.

Our Installation Process

Every Atlantic Dreamscapes paver project follows the same sequence. You’ll know what’s happening and when.

  1. Site visit and measurements. We walk the space, check grades and drainage, and measure. You get a written quote, not a ballpark.
  2. Design and product selection. Collection, color, pattern, borders. Sample boards on site, decisions made in the light the pavers will live in.
  3. Excavation and base. We dig to the depth the application needs, then place and compact base material in lifts. This step is 80 percent of why a paver surface lasts.
  4. Screeding. A flat, consistent bedding layer of sand, struck level so every paver sits true.
  5. Laying, cutting, and borders. Field pavers go down in pattern; edges and borders get cut clean and tight.
  6. Polymeric sand and compaction. Joints filled with polymeric sand, the surface compacted, joints topped and set.
  7. Walkthrough. We inspect it with you, explain care and sealing options, and leave the site clean.

Keeping Belgard Pavers Looking New

Belgard pavers near the coast need a little upkeep, and the honest version fits in one paragraph. Rinse regularly, treat mildew early (shady north-facing surfaces in Merritt Island grow it fastest), and top up joint sand when it wears low. Sealing is the big lever: a quality sealer knocks back UV fade and salt-air wear, and near the water we’d rather see it refreshed on a regular cycle than left to fail. If your pavers, Belgard or otherwise, have already gone dull or weedy, our paver restoration and sealing service brings older installs back before replacement becomes the conversation.

Belgard Paver FAQs

Are you a Belgard Authorized Contractor?

Yes. Atlantic Dreamscapes is a Belgard Authorized Contractor, listed in Belgard’s own contractor directory for Brevard County. Belgard vets Authorized Contractors every year for craftsmanship, proof of insurance, CMHA installation certification, and a workmanship warranty. The badge is worth checking for, and so is the work behind it: ask any installer how deep they excavate, how they compact base on sandy soil, and what edge restraint they use. Then see our recent paver projects and judge the finished work for yourself.

It depends on square footage, the collection you choose, demolition needs, base prep, site access, and border detail. Those six drivers set the price on nearly every project. We give exact written quotes after a free site visit; call 321-704-3943 to schedule one.

Properly installed pavers routinely outlast poured concrete here, because they flex with our sandy soil instead of cracking. Belgard backs the pavers themselves with a limited lifetime transferable warranty. Longevity of the surface as a whole comes down to base prep and maintenance.

Sometimes. An overlay can work on a sound, stable slab with enough height to spare at doors and pool coping. A cracked or settling slab will telegraph its problems through the new surface, so we’d remove it and build a proper base instead. It’s a site-visit call, not a blanket yes.

Blend families range from warm sands and tans to grays, charcoals, and multi-tone mixes. The five we install most in Brevard County are Napoli, Rio, Scandina Gray, Titanium, and Slate. We recommend choosing from physical samples on your site, matched to roof and stucco rather than to a screen.

Rinse them, treat mildew early, keep joint sand topped up, and reseal on a regular cycle to hold color against salt air and UV. For installs that are already faded or weed-prone, restoration and sealing is usually a fraction of replacement cost.
